This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner except by due process of law. 1/4

2.It is the case of the respondent that the petitioner and the defacto complainant were jointly running a rice business and in the course of such transactions, there were disputes relating to money, amounts to be payable by each other and to each other.

3.It is stated that the petitioner herein had appeared before the respondent and had also given a statement that he is willing to pay Rs.50,000/-. After giving that particular statement, the petitioner has filed the present petition. It is for the petitioner to participate during the course of enquiry and participation or calling upon to participate in the enquiry cannot be termed as harassment. I am not inclined to give any directions. The respondent to proceed in the manner known to law. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 20.12.2023 sli 2/4
