This Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondent for wilful disobedience of the order made in W.P.No.11012 of 2017 dated 04.08.2023
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that this Court vide order dated 04.08.2023 has directed the respondents to engage the members of the petitioner Union so long as the scheme exists. Subsequently, the workers have been permitted to rejoin the work. It is to be pointed out that though they have been permitted to rejoin the work, some members of the union have not attended the duty regularly. In respect of the other workers, they have been engaged in the duty. Hence, the contempt petition will not lie.
