ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.06.2024 in S.C.No.118 of 2024 on the file of the learned Additional District Court, Kancheepuram, Kancheepuram District, for the offences punishable under Sections 380, 302 of IPC @ 380, 302, 201 and 449 of IPC in Crime No.252 of 2024, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. The earlier bail application of the petitioner was dismissed by this Court, vide order dated 02.06.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.12882 of 2025.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner joining hands with other accused trespassed into the house of the deceased, committed murder and taken away 11 sovereigns of gold. Hence, this case. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected to the offence and he is in judicial custody since 03.06.2024. He further submitted that the investigation of this case was completed and charge sheet filed; that the petitioner is ready 2/4

to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought for bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and states that it is a case of murder for gain and the petitioner has got 18 previous cases; and that the trial is pending. 5.

Considering the facts, gravity of offence, the previous antecedents of the petitioner, since there is no change of circumstances after the dismissal of the earlier bail application in Crl.O.P.No.12882 of 2025 and the fact that the trial is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 25.09.2025 stn 3/4
