Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C.,/528 BNSS, 2023 to call for the records in C.C.No.6613 of 2023 on the file of the CCB/CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai in Crime No.202 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent Police and quash the charge sheet against the petitioner. O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the chargesheet in C.C.No.6613 of 2023 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate, Special Court for CCB/CBCID Cases, Egmore, Chennai in Crime No.202 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent/Police.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/de-facto complainant submitted that both the petitioners and the de-facto complainant agreed to settle the matter amicably as the second respondent/de-facto complainant is not pressing the complaint given against the petitioners. 2/5

On a perusal of the records and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that since the second respondent/de-facto complainant is not pressing the complaint to proceed further, the charge-sheet in C.C.No.6613 of 2023 on the file of the CCB/CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai, is hereby quashed.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 18.12.2024 Index: Yes/No Speaking Order : Yes/No ms 3/5
