Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C.,/528 BNSS, 2023 to call for the records in C.C.No.6613 of 2023 on the file of the CCB/CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai in Crime No.202 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent Police and quash the charge sheet against the petitioner. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the chargesheet in C.C.No.6613 of 2023 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate, Special Court for CCB/CBCID Cases, Egmore, Chennai in Crime No.202 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent/Police.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/de-facto complainant submitted that both the petitioners and the de-facto complainant agreed to settle the matter amicably as the second respondent/de-facto complainant is not pressing the complaint given against the petitioners. 2/5

On a perusal of the records and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that since the second respondent/de-facto complainant is not pressing the complaint to proceed further, the charge-sheet in C.C.No.6613 of 2023 on the file of the CCB/CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai, is hereby quashed.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 18.12.2024 Index: Yes/No Speaking Order : Yes/No ms 3/5
