ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the final report filed in in C.C.NO.149 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Judicial Magistrate, Thirukovilur for the offences under sections 147, 148, 294[b], 506[2] and 352 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3. The crux of the allegation against the petitioners is that the petitioners abused the the defacto complainant and her family members in filthy language, torn her dress and jointly assaulted the defacto complainant's son and threatened to kill them.

3. On a perusal of records, though it appears to be civil dispute, there are specific overt acts have been spoken by the defacto complainant and other witnesses as to causing harassment on the defacto complainant besides criminal intimidation. In such view of the matter, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to quash the final report filed against the petitioners.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, the personal appearance of the petitioners is dispensed with before the trial Court, except for receipt of copies, answering the charges, questioning under section 313 Cr.P.C./351 BNSS and on the date of pronouncing judgment and on any other dates as fixed by the trial Court.
