This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.06.2025 for renewal execution of a lease agreement and for issuance of Kudakuli Receipt in the name of the petitioner.

2. Mrs.P.Aishwarya, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the 1strespondent and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate (HR & CE) takes notice on behalf of respondents 2 to 4.

It is the case of the petitioner that his mother viz., Mrs.R.Parvathakalyani, being a tenant under the 5th respondent based on the lease agreement entered into between them, is in absolute possession of the subject property. However, the said property is now being maintained by the petitioner herein. In order to transfer the said lease agreement in favour of the petitioner, he had approached the official respondents herein by addressing a representation dated 09.06.2025. However, the same has not been considered so far and therefore, to espouse the said cause, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2025 for transfer of lease agreement in respect of the above property in favour of the petitioner and pass orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by 3/6
this Court.

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that though it is the claim of the petitioner that his mother and elder brother have no objection for transferring the said lease agreement in favour of the petitioner however, the trustee of the 5th respondent had issued a letter dated 04.06.2025 stating that the other legal heirs of the petitioner's deceased mother have raised objections for transfer of lease hold rights in favour of the petitioner. In such view of the matter, this Court may direct the petitioner to appear before the official respondents to enable them to pass appropriate orders in this regard.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case as also in view of the objections raised by the other legal heirs of the petitioner's mother for transfer of lease agreement in favour of the petitioner and also in view of the fact that the 4th respondent being the appropriate authority, the petitioner is directed to appear before the 4th respondent by filing appropriate application along with a copy of this order. If any such application is filed, the 4th respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other 4/6
interested parties.
7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
