ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of mandamus, directing the 2 nd respondent to refer the Award bearing No.C5/017/2022 dated 25.07.2023 to the Civil Court in terms of Section 7(3) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that after filing the present Writ Petition, the award was referred to the concerned Civil Court for consideration of the issue pertaining to the enhancement of award and therefore, he would submit that appropriate direction may be issued to the Civil Court to decide the issue in a time bound manner.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, after taking instructions, would submit that the award was already referred to the Civil Court and hence, the prayer in the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

4. Since the matter is already referred to the Civil Court, it is upto the Civil Court to decide the matter in accordance with law. Hence, this Writ Petition is closed as no further orders are necessary. No costs. It is left open to the parties to raise all the contentions before the Civil Court. In view of the order passed in Writ Petition, impleading petition filed in WMP.No.44799 of 2025 stands dismissed.
