Respondents Prayer:- Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus order or direction in the nature of a writ, calling for the entire records relating to the impugned final list of eligible candidates for the post of Puliyankurichi Village Panchayat President dated 17.12.2019 published by the 2nd respondent and quash the same in so far relates to the 3rd and 4th respondents names and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to delete the 3rd and 4th respondents names from the final list of eligible candidates list for the post of Puliyankurichi Village Panchayat President and conduct the said Puliyankurichi Village Panchayat President post election.

When it is pointed out by the Learned Government Pleader appearing for the Second Respondent that the Petitioner has got an effective alternative remedy by way of election petition under Section 258 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition with liberty to resort to the same and he has also made an endorsement to that effect, which is recorded.
2. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn granting such liberty. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed. No costs.
