The petitioner who is an accused in Spl.S.C.No.87 of 2023 now pending before the learned Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram (FTMC), Tiruppur, seeks bail.

2.Originally, Crime No.7 of 2023 had been registered under Sections 5(k), 5(l), 5(n) r/w 6 of POCSO Act 2012 and Section 506(i) of IPC. 3.The petitioner had been remanded to judicial custody on 01.05.2023. Subsequent to the investigation, final report had also been filed and the same has been taken cognizance and trial has commenced before the learned Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram (FTMC), Tiruppur. 4.I am informed that the victim child and the defacto complainant had been examined and cross examined.

5.On 06.02.2024, this Court had called for a report from the learned Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram (FTMC), Tiruppur, as to the present status of Spl.S.C.No.87 of 2023.

6.A report dated 15.02.2024 in D.No.367 of 2024 had been received wherein it had been stated that the trial is on going and it is posted on 26.02.2024 for examination of what may be termed as official witnesses. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

vkr 7.A direction is given to the learned Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram (FTMC), Tiruppur, to endeavour to complete the trial on or before 22.03.2024.

8.In view of that fact, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
