O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to provide police protection for conducting Kaathu Poojai Festival at Arulmighu Mannarsamy Pachaiamman Temple Mariyamman Kovil Festival on 22.12.2023 at Pethampatti Village, Salem Taluk, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.12.2023 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. When the matter came up for hearing on 08.01.2024, this Court passed the following order:

"When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the festival has been going on smoothly and that the last temple festival is going to be conducted on 11.01.2024.

2. Learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] seeks time to get instructions.

Post this case under the caption "for orders" on 12.01.2024."

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the temple festival has been conducted by the petitioner.

5. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the festival is going on today and it will conclude.

Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
