Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to expedite the appeal in letter No.7003420/G/2024-1, dated 25.09.2024 filed against the order dated 15.09.2022 passed in A.R.C.No.513 of 2019 by third respondent within a period as fixed by this court.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to dispose of the appeal pending on his file in appeal No.7003420/G/24, within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he suffered by an arbitration award passed by the Arbitrator/third respondent. According to her, at the instance of the second respondent, arbitration was conducted by the Arbitrator and award was passed, directing the petitioner to pay the exorbitant amount. Hence, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent in No.7003420/G/2024-1 and though the appeal was filed in the month of March 2024, till date, there is no progress in the said appeal. Therefore, she has come before this court.
3. Mr.C.Sathish, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that due to some defects the appeal was not numbered immediately and the same was numbered only in the
month of September 2024 and the appeal will be disposed of, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, this court is inclined to direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed. There shall be no order as to costs.
