ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the third respondent police to issue the Non-Traceable Certificate to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 31.10.2014 at about 11.00p.m, the petitioner has parked his vehicle viz., TATA ACE bearing Regn.No.TN-22-BT-3523 before his shop after closing his business. He further submitted that at about 3.45 am, the petitioner woke up with a view to go to Koyambedu Market and at that time, he found that his vehicle was missing and hence, he lodged a complaint before the third respondent police on 31.10.2015 and based on the same, an FIR

was registered as 3384 of 2015 under Section 379 of IPC, but, so far, the said vehicle has not been seized. He further submitted that for getting insurance claims, the third respondent may be directed to furnish Non-Traceable Certificate to the petitioner.

Per Contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that the investigation is almost over and the final report would be filed within four weeks and only after completing the investigation, Non-Traceable Certificate will be issued. Hence, he requests to grant four weeks time for completing the investigation and filing final report.

4. Considering the above submissions, the third respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and complete within four weeks and file final report within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case, the vehicle is not traceable, the third respondent has to issue Non-Traceable Certificate to the petitioner.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
