The learned senior counsel for the applicant submits that Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.40,00,000/- (Rupees forty lakhs only) dated 31.10.2023 is handed over to the bank as per the orders of this Court dated 26.10.2023. However, the bank has not encashed the same.

The learned counsel for the bank submits that the bank would encash the same and keep the said amount in no-lien account.

The moment the amount is deposited by the applicant with the bank, the applicant will not be liable for interest on the said amount.

The application is disposed of.
