Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order dated 02.08.2023 made in application No.TN-52023060112784, Transaction Reference No.133351520938002 on the file of the respondent to quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioner as "Hindu Malaikkuravan Scheduled Tribe Community" on the basis of community certificate issued to the petitioner's father vide Certificate No.4788/85 dated 01.08.1985 and petitioner's brother community certificate No.TN5202312187693 dated 09.01.2024. 1/4

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) Thiru.Rajesh Lakhoni, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chepauk, Chennai 600005 and Tmt. P.Amudha, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Secretariat, Chennai 600009 are present in person, pursuant to our order dated 16.12.2024.
2. Thiru.Rajesh Lakhoni, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration, would state that these issues regarding returning of applications for Community Certificate popup due to the software that is being used. He would also submit that the process is on to rectify the software to suit the needs of the Officers concerned and the 2/4
said process will be over in a month or two. He assures that these kinds of repeated mistakes will not happen in future.
3. Recording the statement of the Commissioner and the fact that the petitioner in this Writ petition has been favoured with the Certificate, the Writ Petition is closed, as no further order is necessary. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
