PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the Principal District Sessions Judge, Thiruvannamalai (Special Court for SC/ST POA Act cases) to consider the bail petition of the petitioner on the same day in the event of surrender by the petitioner and seeks bail in Crime No.2824 of 2020 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Melchengam Police Station,Thiruvannamalai District.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Principal District Sessions Judge, (Special Court for SC/ST POA Act cases), Thiruvannamalai, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day in the event of surrender by the petitioner. 2.The petitioner herein seeks bail in Crime No.2824 of 20230 registered under Sections 294 (b), 323 IPC and Sections 3(1)(r) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent. 4.Taking all the factors into consideration, if the petitioner surrenders at 10.30 a.m., and if the records are available, then the Principal District Sessions Judge, (Special Court for SC/ST POA Act cases), Thiruvannamalai, may consider the bail application and dispose of on the same day. If for some reasons, the petitioner surrenders at later point of time 2/4
