Mr.S.Udayakumar Government Advocate (Crl.side) COMMON ORDER The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 303(2) of BNS Act in Crime Nos.523 of 2024, 536 of 2024 and 539 of 2024 and the charge sheet has been filed and the case is now pending as C.C.Nos.51/2025, 52/2025 and 53/2025 before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he was earlier arrested and released on bail for the offences of theft.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was earlier granted bail and was regularly appearing before the Court. At that time, the respondent moved for bail cancellation on the ground that the petitioner did not appear before the respondent police. Accordingly, the trial Court cancelled the bail granted vide order dated 14.08.2025. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide with any conditions that may be imposed by this Court, and therefore, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the petitioner has 7 previous cases and did not comply with the conditions. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner did not comply with the conditions and taking note of the fact that there are 7 previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the bail cancellation before the Court below.
