Compassionate Ground Appointment under Rule 8 (2) (c) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Appointment On Compassionate Grounds) Rules, 2023 to the Respondents 2 to 4 to enable them to issue appointment order to the petitioner on compassionate grounds in a suitable post in the Ration Shop under the control of the fourth respondent Co-operative Bank Limited befitting the petitioner's educational qualification within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Ms.E.Ranganayaki, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the Respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the FORM II submitted by the petitioner and forward the Integrated Certificate for Compassionate Ground Appointment under Rule 8 (2) (c) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Appointment On Compassionate Grounds) Rules, 2023 to the Respondents 2 to 4 to enable them to issue appointment 2/6

order to the petitioner on compassionate grounds in a suitable post in the Ration Shop under the control of the fourth respondent Co-operative Bank Limited.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was appointed as a Weigher in the Mahadevahollahalli Ration shop under the control of the fourth respondent. Due to health issues, the petitioner's husband passed away on 29.11.2023. As per the service records, his date of superannuation was 20.04.2027. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations on 27.12.2024 and 25.03.2024, along with relevant documents, to the respondents 2 and 3. However, the same were not considered. Thereafter, after obtaining legal advice, the petitioner submitted Form I on 27.08.2025 and also submitted Form-II to enable the Tahsildar to issue the Integrated Certificate for Compassionate Ground Appointment. The respondents 2 to 4 have not taken any steps. Hence, this writ petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid relief.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 3/6

Taking into consideration, the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the Form-II submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits of the petitioner's claim.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
