Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025 and pay petitioner the enhanced compensation by fixing the value of the land at Rs.50,000/- per cent with all other benefits as per the Land Acquisition 1/6

Act with interest on solatium and with all other benefits in the light of the decree and judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal Nos.9531 and 9532 of 2018 the respondents are hereby requested to pay the difference amount of Rs.16,925/- which the petitioner also entitled to receive.

ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025 and pay petitioner the enhanced compensation by fixing the value of the land at Rs.50,000/- per cent with all other benefits as per the Land Acquisition Act with interest on solatium and with all other benefits in the light of the decree and judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal Nos.9531 and 9532 of 2018 the respondents are hereby requested to pay the difference amount of Rs.16,925/- which the petitioner also entitled to receive. 2/6

2. Mrs.S.Indhu Bala, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the present writ petition is filed for fixing the compensation at a sum of Rs.50,000/- per cent, for the petitioner's land in S.Nos.301/1A2 & 301/2B, to an extent of 0.22.0 hectares situated at Thirumudivakkam Village, Sriperumpudur Taluk, Kancheepuram, which have been acquired by the Government for the purpose of effecting improvements to Chembarambakkam Surplus Water Ways Scheme, in the light of decree and judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal Nos.9531 and 9532 of 2018.

After getting instruction, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that in a similar issue, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has directed the authority concerned to fix the value of the acquired lands at a sum of Rs.50,000/- per cent and also directed to disburse the amount to the beneficiaries and 3/6

to file the compliance report on or before 10.10.2025.

5. She would further submit that pursuant to the aforesaid direction, the compensation in respect of the petitioner's lands has been determined at Rs.50,000/- per cent, along with other benefits as per the prevailing rules. Therefore, she seeks four weeks time to complete the said exercise.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to fix the compensation in respect of the petitioner's land at a sum of Rs.50,000/-, as directed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No 4/6

costs.
