Ms.S. Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner worked as a Driver and retired from service on 30.06.2022. It is his grievance that he is entitled to claim certain payments viz., difference in leave salary and difference in gratuity as per the 14th wage settlement along with interest and therefore, he submitted a representation to the respondent on 06.08.2025. But till date, the respondent has not considered the said representation. Under such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued by this Court to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025 as per the 14th wage settlement along with interest, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Learned Standing Counsel fairly submitted that the respondent Corporation will consider the petitioner's representation and would settle the eligible amount to the petitioner along with 6% interest. Hence, this Court may issue appropriate directions in the above regard.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to pay the eligible and admissible 2/4

amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
