ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The allegation in the petition filed in pro bono capacity is with regard to the grant of patta in respect of grazing lands.
2. Status report which has now been filed by the State shows that proceedings for cancellation of patta have already been initiated and details of the same have been given in the status report.
3. After going through the same, we are of the view that once an inquiry has been initiated and the process for cancellation is going on, the purpose of this public interest litigation stands served.
4. Accordingly, with a direction to the official respondents to conclude the proceedings within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP Nos.40547, 40544 of 2025 are closed.
