Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 07.08.2024 for execution of lease deed in favour of the petitioner for the property situated at No.20, Chanda Sahib Street, Royapettah, Chennai-14, measuring 632 sq.ft.

ORDER

The writ petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider her representation dated 07.08.2024 seeking lease of the Wakf property situated at No.20, Chanda Sahib Street, Royapettah, Chennai14.

2. The petitioner submitted a representation before the first respondent on 07.08.2024 seeking lease of the property belonging to the Chan Pooran Wakf . In the representation, the petitioner undertakes to abide by the conditions set forth by the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board. The said representation has not been considered. Hence the petitioner has come before this court.

3. Mr.G.Mohamed Asif, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the first respondent.

4. In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without going into the merits of entitlement of the petitioner to get lease of the above mentioned property, this court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.08.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
