ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 02.07.2024 passed in W.P. No. 4156 of 2020 whereby this Court directed the respondent to extend the benefit of the incentive increment to the petitioner in case the petitioner acquired the B.Ed degree.

2. When the matter is taken up for consideration today, it is brought to the notice of this Court by Mr.K.H.Ravikumar, learned Government Advocate the respondents have considered the case of the petitioner and accordingly issued proceedings vide Na.Ka.No.307/A3/2022 dated 23.07.2025, whereby the petitioner was extended the benefit of the incentive increment with effect from the date on which the petitioner acquired the B.Ed qualification and thus the respondents have complied with the order passed by this Court.

3. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondents have only issued the proceedings and the monetary benefits are not yet released.

4. In response to the same, Mr.K.H.Ravikumar, learned 2/4

Government Advocate as well as the respondent, who is present before this Court in person, has assured that the consequential monetary benefits will be released in favour of the petitioner within a period of six weeks positively.

5. Considering the undertaking given by the respondents, who are physically present before this Court, this Court is inclined to close the contempt petition and the respondents are directed to release all the consequential benefits that are given in terms of the proceedings dated 23.07.2025 to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from today. In case the respondent failed to release the amounts within a time undertaken by them, it is open for the petitioner to seek reopening of this contempt petition.
