Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, Direction to the 4th respondent to consider the representation dated 18.12.2023 in accordance with law and to issue patta in respect the Kattalai lands situated in T.S.No.795/1, (Siddarkadu Village), Mayiladuthurai Town and R.S.No. 384/2, 431/1, 2, 3 and 4 R.S.No.609, 610, T.S.No.1582/1 and 1582/2, Mapadugai Village, Mayiladuthurai Taluk in the name of Sri Mayuranathaswamy Devasthanam Uchikala Kattalai and Adaikama Kattalai represented by its present trustees. Since the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2023, seeking the issuance of a patta with reference to the Kattalai lands situate in T.S.No.795/1, (Siddarkadu Village), Mayiladuthurai Town and R.S.No. 384/2, 431/1, 2, 3 and 4 R.S.No.609, 610, T.S.No.1582/1 and 1582/2, Mapadugai Village, Mayiladuthurai Taluk in the name of Sri Mayuranathaswamy Devasthanam Uchikala Kattalai and Adaikama Kattalai represented by its present trustees, has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondents.

Considering the limited prayer that is sought and also considering the fact that the representation made by the petitioner on 18.12.2023 has not been considered to date, a mandamus is issued to the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2023 for issuance of patta after issuing notice to all the interest parties and pattadars, hearing their objections and thereafter pass orders. In case of a rejection a speaking order shall be passed. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
