ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation dated 01.09.2025 with regard to issue a new electricity connection and cancel the Old Electricity connection in connection with the petitioner's property in S.No.303/19A and 303/20A total extent 1412 sq.ft. situated at Kannanur, Pazhampettai Village, Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
2. Since no adverse order has been passed against the respondents 4 and 5, notice to the respondents 4 and 5 is dispensed with.
3. Mr.Swami Subramanian, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. In view of the consent expressed by the Page No.2 of 6
parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the land in S.No.303/19A to an extent of 1027 sq.ft. and S.No.303/20 to an extent of 385 sq.ft. vide sale deed dated 29.07.2025. Thereafter, the petitioner has availed all the basic amenities except electricity service connection, since prior to his purchase, two tenants have obtained EB connections. Now, the petitioner need a new electricity connection for his property since he is going to start a new construction in his property. Therefore, the petitioner has approached the respondents to cancel the old EB connections which is obtained by the two tenants and to give the petitioner with new electricity connection by way of representations dated 25.08.2025 and 01.09.2025. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.
5. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, it Page No.3 of 6
would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 01.09.2025, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
