ORDER
This writ petition (criminal) has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2025 and to consequently, take appropriate action against the unauthorised and illegally operating metal forging and welding industries. 2/6
2. Mr.R.Vinothraja, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition (criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 6th and 7th respondents, notice to the 6th and 7th respondents is dispensed with.
4. The case of the petitioner is that he is a resident of M.R.Nagar, Nanmangalam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chennai and the said region is classified as a residential zone by CMDA. In the said region, several unauthorized welding and forging shops, including the 6th and 7th respondents herein are established and are being operated 24/7, without following the norms and guidelines as mandated by law, causing unnecessary noise and air pollution beyond the permissible limits. Hence, the petitioner made a detailed representation before the 1st respondent on 17.06.2025, seeking to take appropriate action against the unauthorised and illegally operating metal forging and welding industries. However, till date, 3/6
no action has been taken by the 1st respondent on the said representation made by the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition (criminal).

Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2025 and to consequently, take appropriate action against the unauthorised and illegally operating metal forging and welding industries, as expeditiously as possible.
6. Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submitted that, the petitioner's representation/complaint dated 17.06.2025 has been forwarded to the 5th respondent under Current Paper No.883 of 2025 and that enquiry is going on and that the petitioner's representation/complaint will be disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 5th respondent to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's representation/complaint dated 17.06.2025 in C.P.No.883 of 2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above directions, this writ petition (criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
