ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.06.2025, for the offences punishable under Section 103 of BNS (corresponds to Section 302 of IPC) in Crime No.45 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner murdered his daughter by cutting her throat using a sickle, due to her love affair with a boy. Hence, this case.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was falsely implicated in this case and the petitioner is in judicial custody since 27.06.2025 and the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought for bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police while opposing the bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and states that since the deceased, who is the 2/4

daughter of the petitioner herein was in love affair with a person, which had enraged the petitioner and thereby, he murdered her daughter using sickle, while she was alone in the house; and that the investigation is pending. 5.

Considering the facts, grave nature of offence and taking note of the fact that the investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. 23.09.2025 stn To
