ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner dated 31.07.2019, wherein the petitioner has sought for the deletion of the name of the 2nd respondent from the death certificate issued to the petitioner's son dated 31.10.2018.

2.Heard Mr.C.K.M.Appaji, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent.

3.The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the 2nd respondent has fraudulently represented herself as the wife of the petitioner's son and has

3/6 managed to include her name in the death certificate. According to the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is already married to one Soundarajan and they have a daughter and the 2nd respondent has fraudulently informed the hospital where the petitioner's son was admitted due to cardiac arrest, as if she is the wife. The petitioner's son died on 30.10.2018 and in the death certificate, the 2nd respondent has managed to include her name as the wife. Under such circumstances, a representation was given to the 1st respondent to delete the name of the 2nd respondent. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the grievance expressed by the petitioner, if the representation made by the petitioner dated 31.07.

2019, has not already been disposed of, the 1st respondent shall deal with the representation and conduct an enquiry after affording opportunity to the 2nd respondent and take a decision within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
