ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to correct the petitioner's service records by modifying her nativity as Thanjavur instead of Coimbatore, by considering her representation dated 01.09.2025.
2. Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that, she joined the services of the respondent police department as a Sub Inspector on 16.04.1999. While so, at the time of filling up the Service Book form, by inadvertence, the petitioner had mistakenly furnished her Coimbatore address instead of her native place viz., Thanjavur. Therefore, the petitioner submitted detailed representations 2/6
on several occasions to the respondents, seeking correction of entry in the service record with regard to her nativity, by enclosing all the relevant documents substantiating her request and the last representation sent by the petitioner in this regard was on 01.09.2025. However, till date, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 and consequently, correct the petitioner's service records by entering her nativity as Thanjavur instead of Coimbatore, as expeditiously as possible.
5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. Considering the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider 3/6
the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
