PRAYER: Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is filed under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, to set aside the Decree and Judgment dated 4th January 2024 passed in M.C.O.P.No.1370 of 2019, by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Special District Court-I, Cuddalore. J U D G M E N T

When the civil miscellaneous appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant and learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 8/claimants filed a Joint Compromise Memo dated 02.04.2025 stating that the respondents 1 to 8/claimants agreed to settle the matter for a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- full quit.

2. The Appellant/Insurance Company already deposited Rs.25,000/-. It agreed to deposit the remaining amount of Rs.8,75,000/- within a period eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On such deposit, the claimants are permitted the withdraw the same. 2/4

3. The Joint Compromise Memo dated 02.04.2025 signed by the parties and counter signed by their respective counsel is recorded and the same shall form part of the decree.

4. Accordingly, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of in terms of Joint Compromise Memo. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petition is closed.
