ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 23.11.2023 seeking alteration of the date of birth in his service records.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was appointed as a Helper in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board on 11.09.1987. The petitioner is in fag end of his service and attaining the age of superannuation. Now the petitioner submitted a representation for change of his date of birth in service register. As per Rules, the petitioner ought to have been change of his date of birth within a period of five years from the date of his joining into service.

4. Therefore, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
