The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hand of the respondent police for offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1A), TNP Transporting Act and subsequently, altered to Section 4(1)(aaa), TNP Transporting Act in Crime No.621 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.It is stated that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 576 bottles of liquor, each containing 180 ML, which had been seized. It is also stated that the other accused had been arrested and had been released on bail. But however, it is stated that there are 13 previous cases against the petitioner herein. 3.Taking into consideration the quantity of liquor seized, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
