Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent 1 to 3 to pass orders granting permission to conduct English Medium sections for IX standard from the academic session 2023-24 and the X standard from the academic session 2024-25 in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.148 School Education Department dated 20.07.2018, based on the proposal submitted by the Petitioner school pending from 01.03.2023 with last reminder dated 12.07.2024, within a time frame to be fixed by the Court. This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents 1 to 3 to pass orders granting permission to conduct English Medium sections for IX Standard from the academic session 2023-24 and for X standard from the academic session 2024-25, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.148, School Education Department dated 20.07.2018 based on the proposal submitted by the petitioner school, which has been pending since 01.03.2023 with a last reminder dated 12.07.2024, within a time frame as fixed by the Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has produced the proceedings of the Chief Educational Officer, Chennai dated 27.11.2024 passed in K.Dis.No.7991/B2/2024 before this Court today and submitted that in view of the aforesaid proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 27.11.2024, the prayer sought for by the petitioner herein has become infructuous.

4. In view of the said proceedings, the learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to withdraw the writ petition and had made an endorsement to that effect.

5. Recording the proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 27.11.2024 and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file a fresh petition. No costs.
