Mrs.Geetha Thamaraiselvan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of the Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner is a senior citizen, aged 79 years, and seeks a mandamus directing the first respondent, being the Revenue Divisional Officer, Little Mount, Kotturpuram, Chennai/R1 to pass orders on his representation dated 14.06.2021 seeking issuance of legal heirship certificate.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader would accede to the receipt of representation dated 14.06.2021 and assure the Court as well as the petitioner through his counsel that the same will be disposed in accordance with law, expeditiously.

4. Thus, mandamus is issued to R1 to hear the petitioner or his authorised representative (bearing in mind his age) as well as any others deemed to be necessary for the proper adjudication of representation dated 14.06.2021 and pass orders on the same in accordance with law and all applicable Rules and Regulations, within a period of six (6) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
