..Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of habeas corpus to call for the records in connection with detention order dated 24.11.2019 made in Cr.M.P.No.32/Goonda/2019/C1 on the file of 2nd Respondent herein and quash the same and direct the Respondents herein to produce the Detenue, P.Ponsaravanan, aged about 40 years son of K.Pulli Gounder, who is now confined in Central Prison, Coimbatore before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Cr.M.P.No.32/Goonda/2019/C1 dated 24.11.2019 detaining his son as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.358, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 20.01.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
