The petitioner-Company seeks Police protection on the pretext of right to have strike of the workmen and from preventing ingress and egress of vehicles and people from in and out of the petitioner/Company warehouse and factory premises and also preventing the goods to be dispatched. Hence, the present petitions were filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondents 1 and 3 and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that if the second respondent/Union has any grievance, they can have right to peacefully conduct demonstration outside the factory premises at least 200-500 meters away from the Factory. However, they have no right to block the ingress and egress of vehicles and entry of other employees to the factory. If any such interference is caused by any of them, the respondentsPolice can provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner/Company warehouse and factory.

5. With the above directions, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
