This Criminal Original Petition is filed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner in the event of his arrest in C.C.No.54 of 2017 pending trial on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee, Tiruvallur.
2. After investigation, charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee, Tiruvallur and taken cognizance as C.C.No.54 of 2017. In the charge sheet, the petitioner is shown as absconding accused. Therefore, the petition for anticipatory bail would not arise. 3.The earlier anticipatory bail application had been dismissed on 17.11.2023 in Crl.OP.No.26183 of2023. Even then it was observed that the petitioner should subject to himself to the jurisdiction of the Trial Court. The petition stands dismissed. The learned counsel for the petitioner may examine Rule 24 of the Criminal Rules of Practice.
