O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 26.02.2024, wherein, the petitioner has sought for transfer of patta in his name with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The specific case of the petitioner is that the patta stood in the name of the petitioner's father and the same was also confirmed by the proceedings of the District Revenue Officer, Dharmapuri, dated 31.03.2017, wherein, a direction was given to the Tahsildar to issue patta in favour of the petitioner's father. The petitioner's father died on 04.02.2022 leaving behind the petitioner and other legal heirs. In view of the same, a representation was made to the 4th respondent to issue patta in the name of the legal heirs of the deceased Sivarangan. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 2/4

26.02.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and in line with the earlier order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 31.03.2017 and necessary proceedings shall be issued, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 13.11.2025 gya Index : Yes/No 3/4
