This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 2,212 days in filing the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.

2. Mr.P.Suresh Srinivasan, learned counsel who takes notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent, vehemently opposes the condonation of delay.

3. The reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition being satisfactory, this Civil Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and consequently, the delay of 2,212 days in filing the appeal is condoned, subject to the condition that the claimant/petitioner will not be entitled to any interest for the delay period i.e., for 2,212 days, in the appeal.
