ORDER

This Criminal Revision Case is filed against the concurrent findings of the Courts below holding the accused guilty of offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. The cheque amount involved in the complaint is Rs.1,00,000/- and the cheque dated 16.08.2017. 2.

The revision petitioner was directed to pay a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- as compensation and to undergo 6 months Simple Imprisonment. Challenging the sentence and conviction passed by the Trial Court and as confirmed by the lower Appellate Court, the present revision petition is filed and pending for consideration. 3.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 15.03.2023, the learned counsels representing the parties reported that the parties have arrived at settlement and therefore, they want to compound the offence. A petition under Section 147 of N.I.Act is also filed along with the receipt for Rs.50,000/- and agreement to allow the complainant to withdraw Rs.50,000/- already deposited in the credit of S.T.C.No.569 of 2017 by the revision petitioner/accused.

Recording the averment made in the compound petition and 2/4

the enclosures indicating the receipt of Rs.50,000/- by cash by the complainant and consent to withdraw the balance sum of Rs.50,000/- kept in the STC account, this Criminal Revision Case is disposed of as offence compounded.

The Registry is directed to issue a certified copy of the receipt for the parties to enable the complainant to withdraw Rs.50,000/- kept in the deposit.
