Heard Mr. S.Kamadevan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. S.J.Mohamed Sathik, Learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the First Respondent, and Ms. N.Senthilselvi, Learned Counsel, who takes notice for the Second and Third Respondents, and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the First and Second Respondents to take appropriate steps for providing drinking water pipline connection to the residence of the Petitioner in terms of the communication dated 27.05.2023 and 23.06.2023 sent by the Second Respondent. 3.

In response, the Second Respondent has filed memo dated 19.12.2023 stating as follows:- "2.

It is submitted before this Hon'ble Court that, providing of drinking water pipeline for the residents of Irumbulikurichi Village under the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' is under construction. The work is about to be completed within 15 days. Hence it is submitted before this Hon'ble Court that the Petitioner will 2/5

receive the connection for drinking water pipeline before the completion of the work under the 'Jal Jeevan Mission'. Therefore it is submitted before this Hon'ble Court that the connection for drinking water pipeline to Petitioner will be provided within 15 days."

In view of the aforesaid action taken by the Second Respondent, nothing remains for further consideration in the Writ Petition, but if the Petitioner still has any grievance to be redressed in the matter, he is not precluded from working out his rights before the proper forum in the manner recognized by law.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed with the aforesaid observations. No costs.
