The petitioner/A3, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.08.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 5(1), 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 and Sections 9 and 10 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 in Crime No.9 of 2022, seeks bail. 2.Let me not enter into a detailed discussion on facts, since charge sheet has been filed and the matter is now posted for trial on 08.01.2024 before the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court For Exclusive Trial of Cases Under POCSO Act, 2012, Thiruvannamalai. 3.A direction is given to the learned Session Judge, to conduct the examination is chief and cross of the victim child on or before 15.02.2024.

smv 4.At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed with liberty to file a fresh petition immediately after examination of chief and cross of the victim child.
