PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in detention order passed in 611/BCDFGISSSV/2023 dated 21.11.2023 by the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenu namely Sanjay Kumar @ Sanjay, Male, aged about 30 years, S/o.Saravanan @ Padi Saravanan, No.275, B-Kalyanapuram, 1st Street, Vyasarpadi, Chennai - 600 039, who is now confined in Central Prison - Puzhal, Chennai District, before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.7313, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 29.12.2023, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
