The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned II Additional District and Sessions Court, Poonamallee, Tiruvallur, to dispose the trial in S.C.No.90 of 2025 within the stipulated 1/4

time.

The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant, a case in Crime No.119 of 2013 was registered by the respondent against the petitioner and others. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed in the year 2013. However, despite the lapse of time, there has been no progress in the trial. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to expedite the trial.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case particularly that the case pertains to the year 2013, this Court directs the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Poonamallee, Tiruvallur, to complete the trial in S.C.No.90 of 2025 as expeditiously as possible. 2/4
