ORDER

This Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to expedite the investigation in FIR in Crime No.118 of 2024 dated 12.11.2024 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police and to file the final report/charge sheet within a stipulated period of time.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though, based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant, the respondent-police registered a case in Crime No.118 of 2024 against the accused, no final report has been filed till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the investigation is in progress and respondent police will be able to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of three months.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to file a final report in Crime No.118 of 2024 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
