ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 29.8.2025 to extend the validity of Management committee and Muttawalli of General Bazzar and pensioner street, Mosque waqf, GS No.592, Tennur, Tiruchirappalli District-620 017 for further period of 3 years from 15.10. 2025 to 14.10.2028.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a Muthawalli of Genearal Bazzar & Pensioners Street Mosque Waqf, which is a notified wakf under Tamil Nadu Wakf Board vide G.S.No.592. The period for muthawall is going to be expired on 15.10.2025. The petitioner made a representation on 29.08.2025 before the first respondent for conducting election and the same was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted
that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
