ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 17.09.2025, requesting that his candidature under the NRI Quota in NEET-UG 2025 counselling.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner after completion of his higher secondary education appeared for the NEET-UG 2025 examination for admission to the undergraduate medical course. He secured 119 marks and submitted an application to the Selection Committee under the Tamil Nadu Management Quota. However, he did not apply under the NRI Quota within the prescribed time. The last date for submission of application was 29.06.2025. Subsequently, the petitioner obtained a relationship certificate and on 17.09.2025, he submitted a representation to the

respondents seeking consideration of his candidature under the NRI Quota.

4. A perusal of the documents reveals that the petitioner has also failed to fulfill the other conditions prescribed under the eligibility criteria for the NRI category. That apart, the petitioner did not submit an application under the NRI Quota on or before 29.06.2025. Further, the counselling for NRI Quota has already been closed.

5. In view of the above, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition lacks merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
