Respondents PRAYER : This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to confer regular time scale of pay and other attendant benefits, duly regularising the services of the petitioners with retrospective effect on the date of their initial appointment on par with similarly placed persons who entered into the services of the respondent Corporation along with them in the years 1997/1998.
For Petitioners : Ms.S.Girija For Respondents : Mr.Anand Gopolan for Mr.R.Babu COMMON ORDER The petitioners have filed these Writ Petitions to direct the respondents to confer regular time scale of pay and other attendant benefits, duly regularising the services of the petitioners with retrospective effect on the date of their initial appointment on par with similarly placed persons who entered into the services of the respondent Corporation along with them in the years 1997/1998.
2. Heard Ms.S.Girija, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.Anand Gopalan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents in all Page No.2 of 6
Writ Petitions.
3. on 29.03.2023, this Court has passed the following order: "Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks time to file necessary application under the Tamil Nadu Conferment of Permanent Status Act, 1981, before the concerned authority and report the same on the next hearing.
Post these matters on 24.04.2023."
4. The learned counsel for the petitioners now submitted that the petitioners have filed necessary application in A.No.31 of 2023 before the competent authority under the Tamil Nadu Conferment of Permanent Status Act, 1981 and the same is pending for disposal. It is further submitted that the petitioners have filed individual applications, but all those applications have been taken up by assigning single application number in A.No.31 of 2023. It is also brought to the attention of this Court that on earlier occasion when the order dated 29.03.2023 was passed, the connected matters in W.P.Nos.19741, 19744, 19747, 19751, Page No.3 of 6
19760 & 19763 of 2020 were not listed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioners undertakes that those petitioners will also file separate applications in the same line in which the other petitioners have filed proceedings before the appropriate authority.
5. Taking into consideration of these developments, these Writ Petitions are disposed by leaving all the contentious issues upon and hence, both the parties are at liberty to make their respective submissions before the appropriate authority. The appropriate authority shall endeavour to dispose all these applications as expeditiously as possible. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
