ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to include the petitioner in the allotment list of forthcoming Ph.D. wards admission and refresher course, National and International conference.

2. The petitioner was appointed as lecturer in the respondent university on 24.02.2003. As per regulations of the respondent university, his appointment was also duly approved by the Board of selection by way of resolution dated 11.02.2003 to 14.02.2003. After completion of his probationary period, his appointment was made permanent. The petitioner was considered for senior scale increments and cadre of lecturer has been now redesignated as Assistant Professor and the petitioner is now working in the Department of Business Administration. While being so, the petitioner also completed M.Phil in the month of December 2004 and he had completed Ph.D in the month of July 2016. Therefore, he is qualified for the post of Assistant Professor and eligible as per UGC Norms. After obtaining Ph.D degree, Ph.D wards to be allotted to the petitioner. The Ph.D 2/4

admission will be conducted in every odd semester July and even semester of November of every academic year. The Ph.D. wards have point for the further promotion for his higher grade. That apart Ph.D wards will publish research articles in referred journals. It will be useful for his academic performance in the next higher grade promotion. Every Assistant Professor is entitled to get Ph.D. wards per semester. However, the respondents failed to allot any Ph.D.wards to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation dated 04.12.2023.

3. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders to allot Ph.D. wards in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
