ORDER
The petitioner seeks a direction upon the 2nd respondent to disburse the educational loan amounting to Rs.4,00,000/- to him as per Application ID 2615318 through the State Bank of India, Koothanallur Branch.
2. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 2nd respondent, notice to the 2nd respondent is dispensed with.
3. Mr.AM.Ayyadurai, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The petitioner was admitted to B.Sc. Allied Health Science - Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology programme on a merit basis for the academic year 2023 - 2026 and the total fees amount Page No.2 of 6
payable for his studies is Rs.4,50,000/-. Hence, he applied for an educational loan of Rs.4,00,000/- under the SBI Student Loan Scheme before the 2nd respondent-bank on 07.05.2024. Since the same was not considered by the 2nd respondent, the petitioner has filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to disburse the educational loan amounting to Rs.4,00,000/- to the petitioner by considering his loan application, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
6. This Court gave its careful consideration to the arguments advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent and also perused the materials available on record.
7. Admittedly, the petitioner has applied for educational loan with the 2nd respondent-bank on 07.05.2024, his loan application was rejected Page No.3 of 6
by the 2nd respondent on 18.06.2025. Without challenging the same, filing the present writ petition seeking a direction upon the 2nd respondent to disburse the education loan to the tune of Rs.4,00,000/- is per se unsustainable. Hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and this Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed.
8. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed granting liberty to the petitioner to workout the remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
