PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the Subordinate Court, Kulithalai, Karur District to dispose of the divorce petition in HMOP No.137 of 2022 on the file of the Subordinate Court, Kulithalai, Karur District, within a stipulated time.

O R D E R

The civil revision petition is filed seeking direction to the Subordinate Court, Kulithalai, Karur District to dispose of the divorce petition in HMOP No.137 of 2022 on the file of the Subordinate Court, Kulithalai, Karur District, within a stipulated time.

2. The petitioner is the husband and the respondent is the wife in HMOP No.137 of 2022 on the file of the Subordinate Court, at Kulithalai, Karur District. The petitioner husband has filed the said petition seeking divorce. The petition was filed in the year 2022 and the same is pending. In such circumstances, the petitioner has filed this present civil revision petition for a direction to the Trial Judge to dispose of the case within a time frame.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case is now posted on 05.03.2024 only for arguments and no petition is pending. Hence, he seeks for a direction to dispose the case within a time frame.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material available on record.

5. Further, pursuant to the direction of this Court, the Registry, on verification through e-filing, has reported that the total pendency of the Subordinate Court, Kulithalai, Karur District, is 883 cases.

6. Considering the total pendency of the cases and also taking note of

the fact that the case is only posted for arguments, the Subordinate Court, Kulithalai, Karur District, is directed to dispose of HMOP No.137 of 2022, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
